The supermarket giant is recalling its homebrand Coles smooth and Coles crunchy peanut butter 1kg, sold nationally both in-store and online between May 1, 2025 and today, June 30.
Both varieties of peanut butter retail for $6.50 at Coles.
Food Standards Australia and New Zealand has warned the recalled peanut butter potentially has biotoxin (aflatoxin) contamination.
Customers who have purchased this peanut butter have been told not to eat it in case of injury or illness.
Aflatoxins are a family of toxins produced by fungi which can be found on agricultural crops such as corn, peanuts and cottonseed.
Customers can return the recalled products to any Coles supermarket for a full refund.
