Tammy Slaton of ‘1000-lb Sisters’ Can’t Get Enough of This Fellow TLC Star: ‘Love Her’

Just like the rest of, Tammy Slaton of 1000-lb Sisters has her favorite shows.

Recently the TLC star sat down with the host of the Creative Chaos podcast to talk about her weight loss surgery, her experience filming her family’s series, and her personal life. She also revealed which TV shows she can’t get enough of.

Tammy Slaton loves Whitney from ‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’

During his conversation with Tammy, host Hunter Ezell asked her what TV shows she was watching.

“Uh, favorite shows? Golden Girls,” she replied, referring to the classic sitcom with Betty White, Bea Arthur, and Rue McClanahan.

Love After Lockup,” she continued. “Whitney from My Big Fat Fabulous Life. Love her.”

Like Tammy, Whitney is a TLC star who shares her story on her own reality show. Whitney’s show focuses on her life in North Carolina, her romantic ups and downs, and her relationship with her family and friends.

New season of ‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’ premieres in July

Fortunately, Tammy and other fans of Whitney are in luck. A new season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life is coming to TLC starting on July 1.

In the show’s 13th season, Whitney Thore is putting herself first and making bold moves toward the life she wants.

“With her signature humor and heart, she reignites her passion for dance, explores the possibility of a fresh start in Salem, Massachusetts, and takes meaningful steps toward becoming a mother on her own through artificial insemination,” according to TLC’s synopsis. “While continuing her search for love, Whitney embraces change and new beginnings, proving that life’s most fabulous moments come from living unapologetically.”

Whitney’s dad Glenn is skeptical of his daughter’s desire to become a single mom. But she’s forging ahead.

“I’m coming up on my 41st birthday,” she says in the trailer. “There’s no time to wait here.”

Once she starts researching sperm donors online, Whitney is all-in.

“I don’t have to take these guys to dinner first? … I love online shopping,” she says.

Becoming a mom isn’t the only big change Whitney is considering. Sick of the drama in her friend group in Greensboro, she seriously considers relocating to spooky Salem, Massachusetts.

“I’m in a rut here in Greensboro,” she says. “And I’m not happy.”

My Big Fat Fabulous Life premieres Tuesday, July 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC. 1000-lb Sisters is streaming on Max.
