BOLO: PA Wife Missing Over a Week, Husband Claims She Left Cryptic Message Before Fleeing

Police continue to search for Pennsylvania woman who has been missing for over a week.

WNEP reports that Katlyn Harp, 33, disappeared from Columbia County on June 19. Harp was last seen at around 9 p.m. at her home on Fairview Drive.

Harp’s husband, Vincent “Vinny” Harp, told police that he received a short text message from his wife saying she needed “a brake” and that friends were going to pick her up.

She allegedly added at the end, “Please don’t destroy my s***. I need my space to clear my head,” according to Daily Voice.

Police have not confirmed if the messages were written by Kathryn.

Hemlock Township police, joined by state police, are utilizing multiple resources in the search for Harp, FOX 56 reports.

“At this point, assets that have been used during searches include PSP Aviation, PSP K-9 Unit, the Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) Drone Team, and also the Pennsylvania Game Commission equipped with ATVs,” Petroski said in a statement.

Meanwhile, some online commenters have raised concerns about Vincent Harp’s past. Court documents from 2018, obtained by Daily Voice, revealed allegations of domestic violence involving his former spouse, Stephanie Harp, 33, who died in 2021. In a separate incident, Vincent Harp faced charges of terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, simple assault, and harassment.

Harp is described as a white female with blue eyes and blonde hair.

Anyone with information concerning Harp or her whereabouts is encouraged to contact PSP Bloomsburg at 570-387-4701 or dial 911.
