A man’s body was found on one of Melbourne’s busiest streets in the early hours of the morning.

Police discovered the man’s body on Collins Street in the city’s CBD at 4.15am.

The circumstances surrounding the man’s death, as well as who he is, are still being investigated.

“The area was cordoned off while officers processed the scene,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

Police and forensic teams were seen working in the area throughout the morning.
