A source close to Sean “Diddy” Combs is claiming that he has been talking a lot about his ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, and isn’t happy about her silence.
Jennifer Lopez is one of the many celebrities once close to Sean “Diddy” Combs who has remained silent since he was arrested for sex trafficking crimes. JLo was actually closer than most as she and the disgraced music mogul dated on and off from 1999 to 2001 and stayed friendly over the years.
That’s why some fans are surprised that we haven’t heard anything at all from the singer about her ex. Someone else who’s apparently pretty surprised that the On the Floor artist hasn’t said a thing is Diddy. And now there are claims that Lopez’s ex is so angry with her as he believes she has “betrayed” him and he wants “revenge.”
Diddy wants ‘revenge’ against Lopez when he’s out of prison
Diddy has been held at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center since his arrest. But a source claims he’s well aware of the people on the outside who have been silent and acting like they never knew him. He views them as being “disloyal,” and Lopez is on that list.
According to the unnamed source who spoke to Radar Online, “[Diddy]’s been saying she has been disloyal by not coming forward as a character witness for him and that she is top of his revenge hit-list if he gets out of jail. He’s convinced she has him to thank for her entire career and that she should be showing loyalty to him. He is planning revenge on everyone he thinks has wronged him from his personal and professional circle.”
But the insider laughed at that saying, “Diddy seems to think he has the upper hand — that’s how insane this man’s ego is.”
They added that Lopez won’t be intimidated by his threats, “None of these types of threats are going to make a difference to JLo — she’s totally done with Diddy and not going to be intimidated by him or anyone else. He’s been saying he is capable of cursing her and her career — what a joke.”
Lopez called Diddy a ‘mentor’ but said their time together was ‘tumultuous’
Lopez has spoken in the past about her relationship with the Bad Boy Records founder.
In 2002, she told Diana Sawyer that she “cared very deeply for Sean, and you know we just … didn’t have the same kind of ideas about life and family and stuff like that. It just wasn’t a good relationship for me. It didn’t have so much to do with him as it had to do with me at the time.
“I had to learn to care about myself a little bit more and put up certain boundaries of what I would accept and wouldn’t accept because really he was just being himself. He wasn’t doing anything wrong, and he felt like he loved me very much and I know he did and I felt like the same way. So if I was unhappy in some way, then I was the one who had to do something. Not him. He was doing everything he wanted to do.”
The “Marry Me” singer also reflected on their relationship several years later during a 2019 appearance on The Breakfast Club and described their time together as “tumultuous.”
“The Puffy era was just kind of a crazy, heightened time in my life,” Lopez explained. “You know, Puffy and I both grew up in the Bronx. He had been in the music business and had all this success; I was just starting and making my first album when I met him. He became kind of a mentor to me at that moment. We had this kind of crazy, tumultuous relationship that ended in a bang.”
