Here are the details on the official role Kate Winslet now has on King Charles’ team.

Kate Winslet is following in the footsteps of other megastars like Sir David Beckham, Sienna Miller, and Sir Rod Stewart as she’s just been handed a special role by King Charles.

The King’s Foundation announced that the Oscar-winning actress has been named as the newest ambassador for the king’s charity. This announcement comes as the charity marks its 35th anniversary.

The King’s Foundation was set up in 1990 when the monarch was still the Prince of Wales; it was known then as The Prince’s Foundation. Its mission is to train young people in a number of skills including millinery, embroidery, and woodworking. It also focuses on sustainability, farming and agriculture, health and wellbeing, architecture, and urbanism.

Winslet joined King Charles at the charity’s awards ceremony and told him: “Don’t worry, I’ll be all in — I’ve got your back.”

In a statement, Kristina Murrin CBE, Chief Executive of the King’s Foundation, shared her excitement about working with the Titanic star saying: “It has been fantastic to get to know Kate and we are thrilled she was able to spend time with our students, alumni and Royal Founding President at The King’s Foundation Awards earlier this month. We look forward to working with Kate to promote our work over many years to come.”
