Police were called to a hotel on Ingham Road in Townsville’s West End just before 5.30pm on June 10.

They found a 17-year-old girl, who allegedly was armed with a knife and making threats.

It will be alleged the girl attacked police, who shot her in the abdomen.

On June 20, the girl was charged with two counts of assaulting police, and one count of intending to cause grievous bodily harm.

She was refused police bail and will appear in court today.

The shooting is under investigation by the Ethical Standards Committee.
