Slumping Ben Rice not letting complicated path to Yankees playing time weigh on him

Been there, done that.

Ben Rice has been through this before, needing to find a way to stay sharp while receiving inconsistent playing time.

“It can only really impact you if you let it, if you let that get in your head. There have been plenty of situations in my life where I’ve played less often than [I am now],” he told The Post on Friday ahead of the Yankees’ series opener against the Orioles in The Bronx. “When I first got to the minor leagues, I was playing once a week.”

Friday night’s game marked the second straight game Rice did not start.
