Veteran actor Yemi My Lover has called out rapper Olamide for allegedly failing to compensate him for using his name in the 2013 hit track “Yemi My Lover”.
In a recent interview, Yemi revealed he got Olamide’s number through Pasuma, and though Olamide promised to settle him, he ignored his calls for months. Olamide has now responded to the claims as the matter stirs reactions online.
In his words; “When Olamide used my name in his song Yemi My Lover, I was so happy but he didn’t compensate me. Pasuma gave me Olamide’s number & I called him for over six months but he never picked up, so I just let it go.”
Amid the accusations, Olamide, who just dropped his 11th album “Olamide”, took to Instagram to share photos and videos from his album listening party. The rapper appeared unbothered, flaunting lovely moments with his wife Adebukunmi and other guests at the event.
