Kanye West Can Now Attend Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Trial After Being Turned Away

On Friday, June 13, Kanye West appeared at a New York City courthouse to support his friend, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. He was denied entry to the main courtroom, however, and could only watch the court proceedings on a television, floors away. Now, West is welcome to attend the trial. Here’s why.

Kanye West can now attend Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial

On June 13, West appeared at the Manhattan courthouse where Combs’ trial is taking place. When asked if he was there to support Combs, he told reporters he was. When he arrived at the courtroom, though, officials denied him entry. His name was not on the list of approved friends or family members.

“He did not wait in line like everybody else from the public,” a source told Business Insider. “No one gets special treatment.”

Courtroom staff had an overflow room on the building’s 23rd floor, where West went to watch the trial proceedings on a television screen. He stayed for roughly half an hour before leaving.

West has not yet attempted to attend the trial again, he now has a seat available to him. West has now been added to the approved list of family and friends.

He also called out celebrities for not supporting the mogul.

“ALL THESE CELEBRITY N***** AND B****ES IS P**** YALL WATCH OUR BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY S***.”

Combs thanked West for his support on his Instagram account.

The disgraced mogul spoke to West while in jail

In a recorded conversation between West and Combs, they spoke about the former’s music career. Combs encouraged West to “get behind the mic, have some fun, chop up them samples, get back on your hitman vibe, have some fun, get back to smiling” (via The Independent). He said that he wanted to see West perform when he got out of jail.

“So put that love in your heart, and enjoy yourself, man,” he said. “When I get out there, man, I want to see you f***ing tear down the stadiums. I need to see you back on that stage, actually rapping and actually performing and everything. I be dreaming of that s***.”

He thanked West for his unwavering support of him. In response, West told Combs he was going to beat the charges against him.

“Yes, sir. That’s how it’s gonna be,” he said. “You gonna definitely beat this s***.”

If convicted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, Combs faces life in prison.
