Paramedics were unable to revive a woman pulled from a fire that broke out in a unit at a Cremorne apartment building, on Sydney’s lower north shore, this morning.

Emergency first responders arrived at the home on Allister Street at around 7am.

Firefighters pulled a woman from the unit before paramedics attempted to perform CPR on her.

However, the woman died at the scene, NSW Police said.

The woman is yet to be formally identified; however, is believed to be aged in her 60s.

The fire was extinguished shortly after.

Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command have established a crime scene and detectives have commenced an investigation into the incident.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
