Homicide detectives have been called in to investigate after a body was found in bushland in Sydney’s west on Sunday.
Shortly after 1pm, officers were called to a park on Irwin Street at Werrington, around 50 kilometres west of Sydney’s CBD.
There, they discovered the body of a person who is yet to be formally identified.
Detectives from the Nepean region have begun an investigation, assisted by officers from the NSW Homicide Squad.
Officers have also begun searching the surrounding area, with the police helicopter also flying overhead.
