Attacker ‘Felt Bad’ For Slashing Victim With Machete, So He Drove Him to Hospital

A Florida man told deputies he “felt bad ” after slashing another man with a machete, so he took his victim to the hospital.

Angel Ramos-Arce, 35, was arrested on Monday and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery causing bodily harm, Law&Crime reported.

The incident took place outside a convenience store in Osceola County. An arrest affidavit says that Ramos-Arce came into the Circle K store and began yelling at an employee, who called for her brother to help.

The brother and the employee’s boyfriend both showed up, with the boyfriend stepping between the brother and the suspect, who promptly punched him in the face and then ran to his truck and retrieved a machete, which he said he intended to use to “intimidate” the two men, who were “significantly bigger” than him.

The boyfriend and brother ran off upon seeing the machete, and Ramos-Arce followed them. He slashed the brother’s arm when he caught up with them, which he said was accidental. He said he “felt bad” for having cut the man, so he told him to get in his truck so they could go to the hospital.

The Circle K employee identified the suspect’s truck to deputies, who followed it to a nearby hospital. There, they found the victim’s blood and the machete inside the truck, and he was arrested.
