Notable People

Jane spent six days testifying against he ex, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. His other higher-profile ex, Cassie Ventura, spent four days on the witness stand.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ sex trafficking and racketeering trial continues in a New York City courtroom, but the testimony of an ex-girlfriend who is opting to go only by “Jane” is officially over. The anonymous girlfriend stepped off the witness stand after days of emotional testimony that produced bombshell allegations. Her testimony has been the longest thus far. Cassie Ventura, who was the first of Diddy’s exes to file a civil lawsuit against him, spent days on the stand, too, but not as many as “Jane.”

As Diddy’s trial carried on, followers assumed the most groundbreaking claims would have already been made. That was not the case when “Jane” took the stand. A former love interest of Diddy’s, Jane, wishes to remain anonymous. Despite hiding her identity, she has turned out to be the most compelling witness so far. At least, she has had the most new information to share. The importance of her testimony shows in just how long she spent on the stand.

According to NPR, when she wrapped up her testimony this week, Jane had spent a full six days telling jurors about hotel nights, manipulation, and sexual coercion. In total, her testimony lasted 24 hours. Cassie Ventura, who Diddy dated for a decade, also spent days on the stand, but she wrapped up her testimony two days quicker than Jane. Venture testified for four days while eight months pregnant.

Since testimony began in May, several key witnesses have taken the stand. An assistant spent two days testifying, while Dawn Richard and Kid Cudi spent a handful of hours talking to jurors. More witnesses are expected to step forward, but it is unlikely anyone else will spend more time on the witness stand than “Jane.”

What do we know about Jane’s identity?

Jane’s testimony has been chilling and emotional. The anonymous accuser was clearly deeply connected to Diddy and his inner circle for the years she spent as his romantic partner. Still, her identity has been closely guarded. We know very little about who the key witness actually is.

What we do know is that “Jane” met Diddy in 2020 during a trip to Miami. They began dating in 2021. They were together until 2024, with Diddy continuing to pay her rent despite their split. Very few people are aware of the accuser’s true identity. Precautions have been taken by the court to protect her identity, including closed sessions during sections of her testimony. Jurors and the attorneys involved in the case do know her real name, though.
