Jonah Tong is putting the Mets — and the minor leagues — on notice

Asked if he had two minutes to chat about Jonah Tong, Andrew Christie tried to negotiate. 

“Two minutes is all I get?” the Mets director of player development said with a laugh. 

There is a lot to talk about regarding Tong because there is a lot that the Mets are liking. 

Within a system that has taken leaps in improving its pitching development and reputation, the most significant rise in 2025 might belong to Tong, an Ontario native and seventh-round pick in 2022.
