Reality TV News

Julie Chrisley left prison with brown hair after spending years as a blonde. Fans were shocked, but she isn’t rushing to sit in a salon chair.

Julie Chrisley left a federal prison years earlier than she was scheduled to. Despite her presidential pardon, her time before prison has changed a few things about her. Fans were quick to notice there was something very different about her signature look after she was seen leaving a butcher’s shop in Nashville. Julie Chrisley, known for her platinum blonde hair, had gone back to her natural brunette color, accented by grey roots, while in prison. There is a lot of debate over whether she should revert to her platinum look or if her current locks look better. Regardless of what fans think, the platinum is not coming back, but reality TV is.

Julie Chrisley isn’t going back to blonde

Julie Chrisley’s two years in federal prison changed her appearance and, apparently, her perspective. Chrisley didn’t just ditch her signature platinum blonde look because she couldn’t maintain it inside lockup. Apparently, she doesn’t feel like going through the trouble anymore. We can’t say we blame her. Maintaining blonde locks as a brunette is complicated.

Shortly after his parents were released from federal lockup, Chase Chrisley sat down to chat with Entertainment Tonight about their release. He told the outlet that one of the first things he commented on was his mother’s hair. He told the outlet he told his mother, “Mama, we gotta go back platinum blonde.” She told the 29-year-old that it wasn’t going to happen.

Some things, however, will be returning

While Julie Chrisley has no interest in returning to the platinum blonde style she rocked before going to prison, there are some aspects of her pre-prison life that she is willing to embrace. Namely, Todd and Julie Chrisley will both be returning to reality TV.

The Chrisley kids were working with Lifetime on a docuseries about their experience when the presidential pardon was issued. Cameras scrambled to capture the couple’s release and their return home. It is unclear when the series will premiere, but Todd and Julie will be featured.

The Chrisley family previously appeared on reality TV for 10 seasons with Chrisley Knows Best. The show was canceled following the couple’s conviction on fraud charges.
