“It’s got resort facilities that are second to none.”

The resort also provides exclusive access to parts of the park, allowing guests to observe African wildlife.

“There’s nowhere else available in Australia and the reality is to do this you would probably need a passport to go to Africa,” Dr Phil Ainsley said.

Premier Peter Malinauskas said the resort will help cement South Australia as a holiday destination for tourists around the country and the world.

“What we’ve seen over the course of the last few years is the profile of the state as a visitor destination has dramatically improved,” he said.

Nearly all the rooms are booked out for tomorrow night and the next few weeks.
