Two men have been arrested, two others taken to hospital, and two police officers allegedly assaulted at the Wests Tigers-South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL match last night.

At about 7.50pm, police were told a fight had broken out between rival supporters at Campbelltown Sports Stadium in Sydneysouth-west.

One police officer was allegedly punched in the head, and a second allegedly punched in the face, before assistance from other officers was sought.

A 30-year-old man was charged with affray, two counts of assaulting police, and resisting arrest.

He was bailed to attend court on June 12.

A 28-year-old man was arrested for alleged assault and will be issued with a court attendance notice.

Four people were evicted from the stadium.

The police officers have been treated for cuts and bruises.
