Child is rushed to hospital after suffering life-threatening injuries - as police descend on suburban home

A young child has been rushed to hospital after suffering life-threatening injuries at a home in Queensland’s Western Downs region. 

Police and paramedics were called to a home on Arthur Street in Dalby about 11am on Friday. 

The child was assessed by paramedics at the home before they were rushed to Dalby Hospital in a critical condition. 

The normally quiet street has since been flooded with police vehicles. 

Queensland Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
