The largest emerald you’ll ever see hung around Priyanka Chopra’s neck at the Met Gala. Here’s how much it’s worth.
The stars were out in full force for fashion’s biggest night as the 2025 Met Gala saw plenty of glitz and glam. But one celebrity guest took the cake when it came to jewelry as Priyanka Chopra arrived on the red carpet wearing one of the largest gemstones in the world.
Nick Jonas‘ wife turned heads the moment she stepped on the carpet as onlookers were wowed at the emerald dangling on her necklace. Days later fans are still talking about it and wondering just how much something like that costs. Well now a jewelry expert is answering that question.
Chopra and Jonas’ Met Gala looks
For the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme, the actor and producer stunned in a custom Balmain black and white polka-dot blazer and matching skirt. While her husband looked dapper, sporting a pair of black slacks and a white shirt with a scarf tied around his neck.
Chopra and Jonas first met at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in February 2017 and months later appeared on the carpet together at the Met Gala as they both wore looks by Ralph Lauren. The two then began dating and were married in 2018.
“Style is about so much more than the clothes you wear,” Chopra previously told Forbes. “It’s about finding what makes you feel confident, asking yourself how you feel when you wear certain clothes. How do you want to be perceived? How you approach the clothes that you wear can help you achieve confidence.”
She continued, “You just have to represent who you are and to be able to find that is very powerful. I could be in sweats, or I could be in a gown. But at the same time, if it’s time for another gig or another job, I wear what I need to succeed.”
Cost of the emeralds Chopra was wearing
The diamond and gemstone experts at the jewelry retailer Steven Stone took a closer look and the impressive gem Chopra was rocking and estimated how much it cost.
“Bulgari brand ambassador Priyanka Chopra stole the spotlight at the 2025 Met Gala, wearing the breathtaking ‘Magnus Emerald’ necklace. Featuring a 241.06-carat emerald, the piece boasts one of the largest and most exquisite gemstones in the world,” Zack Stone shared with Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “Its rarity and unparalleled beauty make it nearly priceless, but if I had to venture a guess, I’d estimate its value to be around $20 million.”
Stone also estimated how much Chaopra’s emerald ring cost, saying: “She paired the necklace with an emerald and diamond ring, featuring a stunning 20-carat cushion-cut emerald set in platinum and accented with diamonds. While it may not carry the same jaw-dropping price tag, I’d estimate the impressive piece to be worth around $1 million.”
The jewelry expert added: “Bulgari boasts a storied legacy with emeralds, having famously woven the vivid green gemstone into its high jewelry creations since the mid-20th century. The rich hue and bold, geometric elegance of Priyanka’s pieces beautifully reflect the house’s iconic design language — while echoing her own commanding presence and refined sense of style.”
