The pair were last in contact with their families yesterday at around 7am but they did not return home to Traralgon as expected in the evening.

Their last known location was on Licola Road in Glenmaggie at about 8.30pm yesterday.

Kiara and James are travelling in a white 2018 Ford Ranger with the registration 1UE3XC.

Authorities are conducting a land and ground search alongside SES nea Licola Road.

Kiara, 36, is described as being Caucasian with long dark hair. and tattoos on both legs, on her right arm and left forearm.

James, 25, is also Caucasian in appearance with short brown hair and tattoos on his neck.

Police have released photos of the missing campers and their car.
