Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) have been together for more than 20 years and married for over a decade. They’re one of those couples who experts insist “push boundaries” but still show a “genuine spark” just like they did early on in their relationship.
And they’re also “very protective” of one another and remind some people who have worked for them of another royal pair who are just as protective.
Here’s more on their “deep connection” and which royal couple a former employee says the Waleses are very similar to.
Expert says Prince William and Kate may be the ‘strongest couple’ in the royal family
Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.” Now, he’s revealing the ways to tell how “strong” William and Kate’s relationship really is.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots for Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Stanton said: “I have analysed hundreds of hours of footage of Kate Middleton and Prince William over the course of my career. In terms of the couple’s body language, they are definitely one of the strongest couples — if not the strongest out of all of the Royal family. Although they never initially displayed signs of public affection, there has always been a genuine spark between them. During the early stages of their relationship, when Kate would attend William’s polo matches, they had a very mischievous element to their relationship and clearly shared the same sense of humor.”
The expert continued: “This deep connection and chemistry is something that Kate and William still show today. Despite being together for a number of years, they now appear to be at the epitome of their relationship and well and truly in love. Simple signals that illustrate this include when William looks out for Kate whilst attending events together, just like his father does with Queen Camilla. While Kate’s confidence has grown, it’s clear that he still feels very protective over his wife and will do anything to ensure that she is safe.
“There are many instances where the couple have shown public displays of affection over the years. From an odd kiss here and there to holding hands. As their marriage has developed over time, these signals have definitely grown … Overall, it’s clear Kate and William will continue to push the boundaries over the course of their marriage, which will only show them in a more relatable light.”
Stanton added: “Kate and William clearly ensured that their marriage has become stronger with each passing year, overcoming obstacles, hurdles, and problems together as a team. They definitely have a different dynamic compared to other royal couples. Kate and William have certainly proven to be the perfect match from the outset. Their deep level of connection, rapport, trust and love has continued to grow, and will continue to grow even more as William moves towards his rightful place on the throne, with Kate by his side.”
Former employee says them being ‘protective’ of each other is reminiscent of another couple
Jack Stooks, who was King Charles’ senior gardener for more than two decades, agrees with the assessment about how “protective” William and Kate are over each other and that reminds him of the king and queen.
Speaking on behalf of Fruity King, Stooks explained: “Both couples are very protective of one another, at events you see them looking for each other all the time and making sure they are nearby. Despite this, both couples are very happy to give each other the autonomy to do their own thing.”
“There are differences, William and Kate are one strong family unit, they can focus all their attention on that. The King and Queen have more family units to be focusing on, them as a couple, the boys, and then also Camilla’s children and their families.”
