Kanye “Ye” West has more grievances regarding his relationship with Kim Kardashian. He recently ranted about Kardashian’s humble beginnings as Paris Hilton’s assistant. During the speech, West explained how he wished he had kids with Hilton, as he would’ve found way more success than he did with Kardashian.

Before Kanye “Ye” West married Bianca Censori, he tied the knot with Kim Kardashian. Kardashian and West share four kids: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5. West’s recent activity on X reveals that he and Kardashian may enter a custody battle. Then, on April 25, 2025, the verified X account S.s. Alberto shared a video of West stating he should’ve had children with Paris Hilton instead of Kardashian.
“When Kim was Paris Hilton’s assistant, I should’ve had babies with Paris Hilton over Kim Kardashian,” West said in the clip. “Could you imagine if I had kids with Paris Hilton, how many hotels I have now? You got to think about that. Think about that. The Hilton. The Hilton s***. It was like, I think I was staying in the Hilton right now. The f***ing edition hotels is a Hilton. You know what I’m saying? [sic].”
Kardashian became Hilton’s assistant after graduating from high school in 1998. While Kardashian worked under a high-profile name, it was her 2007 leaked sex tape with her then-boyfriend, Ray J, that brought her fame.
West went on to say that Hilton “had the vision” and Kardashian was like “the Virgil.” West is likely referencing his collaborator and friend, Virgil Abloh, whom he met in 2009.
“Kim was like Paris Hilton’s Virgil,” the rapper continued. “That’s what happened. If you like Arnold Schwarzenegger, and you have a kid with a nanny, the nanny only power is to take your kids. So, Kim’s only power is to take my kids.”
West said he “had a baby” with an “assistant” whom he then “put on Vogue.”
“You can’t put that motherf***ing assistant on Vogue, bro. … No more motherf***ing assistants, no more hugs.”
Kim Kardashian might go for full custody of their kids
Kim Kardashian and Kanye “Ye” West currently share legal custody of their four kids. A source told The U.S. Sun that Kardashian always wanted West to have the ability to see their children. “She would love nothing more than to see him take an active interest in parenting all four kids,” they stated.
Unfortunately, West has said otherwise. He claimed Kardashian has kept him from his children. He’s also threatened to go for full custody.
“Kim is horrified, but she’s not surprised,” the source alleged. “He’s just digging his own grave here. He’s showing that he is not fit to be a legal parent, nor has the mental capacity to have custody of children.”
This has led Kardashian and her lawyers to consider “taking action.”
“Her team is in crisis mode,” the source continued. “The plan is to lodge something with the court this week and using the fact that Kanye stated his plans to seek full custody of the kids. The plan is to question whether he is ‘mentally fit’ to do so, and then get the ball rolling.”

Kim Kardashian and Kanye “Ye” West announced they were expecting their first child, North West, in December 2012. Before West dated Kardashian, he dated Brooke Crittendon from 2004 to 2006. Crittendon told The Sun in early 2013 that West only wanted children after seeing Jay-Z and Beyoncé start their family. Jay-Z and Beyoncé had Blue Ivy Carter in January 2012.
“I know he has had a thing with [Kardashian] for a while,” Crittendon said at the time, according to HuffPost. “I’m sure he watched her [sex] tape. After we broke up, we caught up as friends, and he mentioned her, I knew something was there … them being together satisfies them for now. Having a baby ticks a box. She wanted kids, and it’s his legacy.”
Crittendon noted that West “admired” Jay-Z. “Over the years, Jay has been a role model for him, and he ultimately takes cues from him,” she continued.
