A 36-year-old woman has died after she fell down a waterfall at a Queensland National Park.

Emergency services were called to Mapleton Falls National Park on the Sunshine Coast about 3.28pm yesterday after reports that a woman had fallen 80 metres down a waterfall.

On arrival, paramedics found the woman with significant injuries in a life-threatening condition.

An 18-year-old male was also taken to Nambour Hospital with minor injuries.

Queensland police said the woman’s death was not being treated as suspicious.

The woman’s death is the third at a Sunshine Coast waterfall this year.
