Tiffany Haddish always toes the line of what’s appropriate for daytime television when she visits the fun-filled fourth hour of Today, so it comes as no surprise that her guest hosting stint with Jenna Bush Hager Wednesday was mired in NSFW jokes and sexual innuendos.
Haddish’s streak of dirty jokes hit a critical point just minutes into the morning chat when she and Bush Hager were discussing how “attractive” is it to watch men clean around the house – even if it’s at six in the morning.
“Yeah, I got something else he can clean,” Haddish joked.
Bush Hager then tried to segue into the next discussion topic before she noticed that her camera crew was still laughing at Haddish’s joke. “By the way, look at these camera guys, they’re dying,” she said.
“They’re so red it’s cute,” Haddish said.
“They are red! Davie’s never turned that red,” Bush Hager responded as one of the cameras panned to the camera crew.
“It looks like his heart’s about to explode,” Haddish commented. “Did you just fall in love, sir?” When Bush Hager pointed out that particular camera man is married, Haddish offered some sound marital advice, “He’s thinking, ‘That’s how I’m gonna get my wife to love me this week. I’m gonna wash dishes, I’m gonna mop the floor. Yeah, wipe the light switches down, sir. That’s hot. With no shirt on, do that.”
Haddish has never been one to censor herself, even on daytime television. The last time she was on Today, Haddish insinuated on the air that Hoda Kotb masturbates.
The comedian cracked a masturbation joke that made Kotb and Bush Hager laugh uncontrollably, prompting Haddish to add, “Hoda, don’t sit there and act like you ain’t ever took care of yourself.”
“It’s called self love, Hoda! It’s self love,” she added as the co-hosts laughed.
In that same broadcast, Haddish even offered to set Kotb up with her ex-boyfriend, rapper and actor Common, when Kotb brought him up unprompted during their interview.
“Why do you keep – do you want to date Common, girl? You’ve got a chance, you make enough money!” Haddish boldly told Kotb on the show.
Kotb and Bush Hager keeled over with laughter as she continued firing away, “Let me hook you up, I haven’t talked to him in years but let’s slide in his DMs for you, Hoda. Your turn, Hoda, your turn! You next! Hoda got next.”
