Mom Does Nothing After Husband Intentionally Burns Her 10-Year-Old Daughter on Stove

A Florida couple was arrested on Monday, two days after the woman’s 10-year-old daughter was reportedly injured as a result of abuse.

On Saturday, Georgy Almony, 42, allegedly punished his stepdaughter for pushing her brother by forcing her to put her hand on a hot stovetop. Miami-Dade police said the girl screamed in pain before fleeing with Almony’s phone to call her mother, Milliene Adeclat, 36, who was at work at the time, according to WPLG.

The girl reportedly lost skin on her hand where she suffered a burn mark in the shape of a coil. Despite this, Adeclat allegedly did not seek medical treatment for her daughter and did not report the incident to authorities.

Police said a teacher notified them about the 10-year-old’s injuries on Monday. WPLG reported that Adeclat denied all allegations during questioning.

Almony was charged with aggravated child abuse causing great bodily harm, while Adeclat was charged with child neglect causing great bodily harm. Adeclat was also charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting with violence for pushing away arresting police officers and swinging her fists at them.

Almony’s bond was set at $7,500. Adeclat was jailed on a $1,500 bond.
