A prominent Muslim leader has warned Peter Dutton to never come near his mosque unless the Opposition leader wanted to be thrown out.

Melbourne Imam Samir Mohtadi, also known as cleric Abu Hamza, spoke out against Mr Dutton in a post shared to social media on Saturday.

The religious leader called Mr Dutton a ‘pro-Zionist…racist’ and a ‘grub’.

Mr Mohtadi took particular issue with Mr Dutton’s stance regarding the Israel-Hamas war.

‘You’re not welcome here,’ he wrote online.

‘I’ll actually literally grab you and throw you out, you filthy human being.’

Previously, he also shared a photo of Mr Dutton with Israeli President Isaac Herzog through his organisation IISNA MyCentre.

The photo showed the pair shaking hands with a caption stating that: ‘Pigs stick together.’

Mr Mohtadi’s views on the current war have caused controversy before.

He previously shared an inflammatory post where he called for the eradication of Israel.

‘We don’t want a two-state solution,’ he told his followers.

‘There’s only one state, one state, which is the Islamic Palestinian state. We have to eliminate the terrorist zionists.’

On other occasions Mr Mohtadi has said he did not ‘believe’ in Israel and that its citizens should ‘go back to Poland’.

Coalition campaign spokesman and shadow home affairs minister James Paterson labelled Mr Mohtadi’s comments ‘completely inappropriate’, noting he was a community leader who ran taxpayer-funded organisations.

‘This kind of extreme rhetoric is particularly reckless and irresponsible during an anti-Semitism crisis,’ Mr Paterson said.
