A 19-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly stabbing a young couple after breaking into their home late at night. 

The teenager was arrested on Thursday night over an alleged attack on a couple in western Sydney just after 11.50pm on Saturday, March 29. 

Emergency services were called to a home on Rooty Hill Road in Plumpton following reports two people had been stabbed. 

Officers were told an unknown man had allegedly forced his way into the home and stabbed the pair before fleeing the scene. 

The couple were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Inquiries began following the incident with officers moving to arrest the 19-year-old man at a Heffron Road home at Lalor Park.

The teenager was taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with special aggravated break and enter serious indictable offence – wound. He also had an outstanding warrant on an assault law officer (not police officer).

The 19-year-old was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Friday.
