Why there’s only one quarterback that makes sense for the Giants next season

Yes, we’re doing this again.

Last year, I wrote that not signing Russell Wilson would leave the Giants with regret. A year minus a day later, I’m once again imploring Joe Schoen and the Giants to bring in the 10-time Pro Bowl quarterback.

Wilson met with the Giants last offseason, but the Giants weren’t willing to guarantee him a starting role with Daniel Jones still in place, The Post previously reported, leading Wilson to sign with the Steelers. This time around, there are no questions — the Giants desperately need a starting quarterback. Wilson would have been a massive upgrade on Jones and subsequently Tommy DeVito and Drew Lock last year. This year, he’s the Giants’ best option to find some stability at the position and for Schoen and Brian Daboll to keep their jobs.

No, he’s not perfect — far from it. But he’s better than the other veteran options.
