Four teenagers have been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed in the leg at a shopping centre in Sydney’s north in the middle of the afternoon.

The incident allegedly occurred at a shopping centre on the Pacific Highway, Hornsby, about 3pm yesterday.

Police said a 21-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were approached by two teenage girls and three teenage boys, who allegedly began assaulting the man.

The woman was also allegedly assaulted when she came to the man’s aid.

He suffered a stab wound to his leg and allegedly had his belongings stolen.

Paramedics treated him at the scene and he was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.

Three 16-year-old boys and a 15-year-old girl were taken to Castle Hill Police Station.

The four teens were charged with aggravated robbery, accessory to robbery, and wounding.
