SHREK fans have been left stunned as a Hollywood A-lister has been cast in the film as the ogre’s teenage daughter.
A new teaser for Shrek 5 reveals Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphey and more stars will appear in the highly-anticipated flick.
But fans have been left stunned over the casting of Shrek’s daughter.
A-lister Zendaya, 28, will star in the film as Shrek and Fiona’s teen.
The movie has a release date of December 23, 2026.
This is the first film in the franchise since Shrek Forever After, which premiered in 2010.
In a trailer for the announcement, Donkey asks the magic mirror, “Who is the fairest of them all?” as the mirror responds, “Why Shrek, of course.”
Zendaya’s character appears to be edgy, as she is sporting a nose ring and a top bun.
When announcing Zendaya, the announcer sounded shocked and added, “Oh damn!”

The new role comes after Zendaya’s engagement to her Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland.
The A-list pair got engaged between Christmas and New Year’s in one of Zendaya’s family homes in the US.
Tom, 28, popped the question in a romantic and intimate setting, sources told TMZ.
The outlet reported the moment was just between the two stars, with no family around to see.
The actor reportedly asked Zendaya’s dad, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, for his blessing months before the proposal but waited until the time was right to get down on one knee.
