Jacob Elordi shocked fans on Saturday when he revealed his new look at the 75th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin

He is best known for his roles in The Kissing Booth and Euphoria.

But Jacob Elordi shocked fans on Saturday as he revealed his new look at the 75th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin.

The Australian actor, 26, looked very different as he ditched his clean shaven look at a photo call for his new series The Narrow Road To The Deep North.

Jacob sported unruly locks and very long and bushy sideburns as he posed on the red carpet.

The actor dressed casually for the event in a dark grey jumper, black pants and a pair of black shoes.

It’s unclear whether his new look is for an acting role or not, but he does have several films on the horizon.

It comes just months after Jacob sparked backlash from fans after stepping out with facial hair.

The actor debuted a bushy beard at the Marrakech International Film Festival back in November.

After red carpet photos from the event hit social media, fans weren’t afraid to express their thoughts on his new look.

‘Shave that!’ shrieked one fan on X, formerly Twitter, while another wrote: ‘TRIM IT TRIM IT TRIM IT!’

A third questioned: ‘How did his hair grow so long so quickly?’

Another wrote: ‘This better be for a movie role because WTF is that??!’

Jacob was recently revealed to have been cast in the upcoming adaptation of Emily Bronte’s classic, Wuthering Heights.

He will take on the leading role of Heathcliff while Margot Robbie will portray the character of Catherine Earnshaw.

However, shortly after the casting of Emerald Fennell’s upcoming adaptation was announced, fans slammed the decision.

Some took to social media over the ‘whitewashing’ of the leading role of Heathcliff – who is described as ‘dark skinned’ in the novel.

One wrote, ‘Guys I can ONLY assume that Emerald Fennell isn’t actually adapting Wuthering Heights…’

‘She’s just using it as inspiration and it’s loosely based on and the only similarities are the characters’ names and it’s set in this time period and it’s a different story entirely right?’

Another added: ‘Truly the worst casting I’ve ever perceived, I’m gagged by how Emerald Fennell is committed to never serving.’

One social media user penned: ‘So what we’ve learned is that Emerald Fennell has not read Wuthering Heights.’
