Hot Sydney ‘it’ couple Katie Williams and Georgia Hull have shocked the eastern suburbs set by announcing their split just days before their wedding.

The pair, who got engaged in February 2024, were scheduled to tie the knot on Saturday in a lavish three-day event at Vaucluse House in Launceston.

Former Big Brother contestant Williams and Hull, a well-known make-up artist, had already cancelled a joint hen’s party which was meant to go ahead on January 11.

Friends of the couple were informed their wedding was ‘postponed’ soon after.

The couple confirmed to Confidential they had called it quits and moved out of their shared Bondi pad.

‘It is with a heavy heart, the decision was made to part ways despite a deep love and the utmost respect for each other,’ they told the publication.

They said they were ending things ‘with kindness and gratitude for the time they shared together’.

The pair announced their engagement a year ago with great fanfare.

Williams, 29, shared a video to Instagram to celebrate the happy moment, including footage of her huge engagement ring.

She also posted several loved-up Polaroid snapshots of her and Georgia enjoying a romantic candlelit dinner.

Meanwhile, Hull shared two loved-up photos capturing her and Williams passionately kissing and embracing each other against a scenic coastal background.

Williams debuted her relationship with Hull, her first same-sex relationship, back in August 2021.

She later spoke candidly about her romance in an interview with Daily Mail Australia and said she ‘couldn’t be more in love if she tried’.

‘She’s my best friend, my number one supporter and my partner in crime,’ she gushed.

‘We really do match each other’s energy. We’ve had many personal ups and downs in lockdown and we’ve helped each other through it all. We’ve laughed, we cried, we’ve danced and embraced it all.’

Speaking about Hull being her first ever girlfriend, Williams said they had developed ‘an emotional bond like no other’.

‘She is actually my first girlfriend. Before Georgia I had dated guys! It’s so different; it’s an emotional bond like no other,’ she explained.

‘I’m really proud of how we’ve handled our relationship. I was trolled and questioned after Big Brother about my sexuality, and I stand strong in who I am, and who I love.’

Back in April, the couple said their wedding date was not yet decided.

‘I have been busy trying to plan our own wedding (no date locked in as of yet) but getting the feelers out there on vendors, location, budgets and logistics,’ Hull wrote on her Instagram stories.

Meanwhile, Williams revealed that the ‘non traditional’ wedding will take place across two days within the next 12 months.

‘Two brides. Two rings. Two days. A non traditional WEDDING in potentially less than 12 months,’ the Big Brother star captioned alongside a photo of their engagement.
