Tradie’s epic meltdown brings traffic to a standstill inside busy tunnel

Wild video has captured the moment a raging tradie brought traffic to a standstill in Sydney’s Harbour Tunnel as he lashed out at another driver.

The dashcam footage, shared to social media this week, showed a Suzuki Swift driving in the right lane of the tunnel.

It swerved into the left lane without indicating, forcing an SUV to brake suddenly.

The Suzuki then came to a complete stop forcing the SUV to a standstill.

The tradie, wearing an orange high-vis shirt, got out of the Suzuki’s driver’s seat and retrieved his phone, in an apparent attempt to photograph the SUV. 

But frantic horn-beeping from cars in both lanes, which were brought to a complete standstill during the fracas, gave him pause.

He pulled up his leg and kicked the SUV’s right headlight, before storming back to his SUV and taking off at speed.

The SUV was captured following behind before the video abruptly ended.

Aussies were appalled at the carry-on, with many siding with the driver of the SUV. 

‘Omg! That would have been caught on the tunnel camera too. Should be fined for causing havoc,’ one said. 

‘Always in a Suzuki Swift too,’ said another.

‘It’s the little Kung Fu kick for me,’ joked a third.

Another fumed that ‘these people just shouldn’t be on the road at all’. 

‘He should be lucky to have a bus pass,’ they said.
